About the work of Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC)
-
During 2011, WHC:
- provided well over 1000 instances of one-to-one support to around 250 individuals (including advocacy, form-filling assistance and accompaniment to meetings)
- recorded well over 1000 session attendances by around 200 individuals
- provided around 200 instances of emergency help to around 100 individuals (food, clothing, household items)
- received around 250 calls from other agencies in respect of around 100 individuals
- During January-March 2011, WHC provided 840 Shelter bed-nights to 47 individuals.
- Of those individuals who work with us in a sustained way, in the current tough accommodation climate around 50% are resettled usually within a few weeks
What do we know about those we work with?
Note: the following statistics and charts relate specifically to those who stayed in the Shelter between January and March. Some individuals referred do not get into the Shelter, for example if they do not take up their place, or if they find other accommodation before a place becomes available in the Shelter.
