WHC is a faith-inspired organisation. We depend on God to help us in our mission to reach out and meet the needs of homeless people, so we really value prayer support for our work. 

Current Items for Thanksgiving

There is increasing collaboration between public and charitable bodies tackling the problem of homelessness in the town.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers frequently go the second mile.

Increased donations have made up for lower grant income than in previous years.

We have been able to operate safely despite sheltering some volatile individuals.

Current Prayer Requests

For those held back by addictions, that they would find the power to break free and move on.

For newly housed people, that they would be able to achieve stability and sustain their tenancies.

For those in our mentoring program to work effectively with their mentors to develop their life-skills.

For our trustees to discern the right way forward to develop our work.
