Volunteer

We love our volunteers – they are the bedrock of Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC). Taking on a great variety of tasks, they express their desire to serve others – making a difference for some of the most vulnerable in our community. For many this is an outcome of their faith.

As a volunteer, you would be welcomed to run the Night Shelter from January through March, or to help with the year-round work of WHC.

Volunteers routinely find the work worthwhile:

"It was a very rewarding experience that banished any negative preconceptions I may have had towards the homeless. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely volunteer again next year."

"I loved every minute of it. I had a fixed role in the kitchen/serving every week. In comparison to other volunteers I had little interaction with the guests – only when serving the meal, but it had a huge impact on me, and feedback from the guests was very positive. Overall an excellent experience."
