Give today: support the Big Sleepout and change lives Our popular Big Sleepout is back and volunteers are hoping to raise more money than ever before! It's not long now until volunteers in Wycombe and Marlow will be bravely swapping their beds for sleeping bags in solidarity with those sleeping rough across southern Buckinghamshire. At Wycombe Homeless Connection we've seen an alarming rise in rough sleeping in our town. Over 150 people slept rough in Wycombe last year and more than 500 people came to us for help. Your support of our work tackling homelessness is now more vital than ever. There are two events this year: one in Marlow on Friday 22nd November and one sponsored by Dreams on Saturday 23rd November at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers FC. James Boultbee, the charity’s CEO said, "We are thrilled that so many local people are taking part in our Big Sleepout 2019! Over the last twelve months, we've been able to help more people than ever before - and it's thanks entirely to the support of our local community. We need individuals to support the sleepout to enable our vital work to continue." You can sponsor the volunteers now - click here to give. Last year more than £60,000 was raised for the charity and they hope to beat that this year. We are also gearing up to open the doors of our Wycombe Winter Night Shelter. Working with local churches the charity provides warm meals, beds and support for individuals who otherwise would be sleeping rough during the bleakest months of the year. Every gift helps keep the doors of the the night shelter open and supports our all-year-round services. Thank you for joining us in tackling homelessness!
