Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC) is an award-winning registered charity serving around 500 homeless or vulnerably housed adults each year. It is a community project of Wycombe churches, but serves anyone who comes for help, and does not promote religion.

Job Details

  • Location: High Wycombe – office based
  • Starting salary: £26,615 to £27,750 pa depending on experience
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend working

This is an exciting opportunity join our friendly, dedicated team to help us fight homelessness.

We seek a support team manager to lead our team of support and advocacy workers by:

  • Guiding, motivating, supporting and developing the team to deliver excellent services
  • Contributing directly to delivering the services of the charity
  • Assisting the CEO in developing the strategy of the charity
  • Collaborating with the volunteering manager to deliver our Winter Night Shelter project annually

The successful candidate will have excellent people management skills as well as a background working within homelessness or a similar sector. You will be someone who is capable of supporting a hardworking team, networking with partner agencies, thinking strategically as well as delivering high quality support and advice to clients. The ability to travel around the High Wycombe area, sometimes in the evening, is essential.

WHC is committed to the training and professional development of its staff. WHC is a Christian charity, and due to the nature of the role and organisation there is an Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be a Christian.
