Swimming the Largest Lake in England for Wycombe Homeless Connection Wycombe's Winter Night Shelter has been providing comfy beds and warm meals to rough sleepers since 2008, and relies on the dedication of hundreds of local volunteers and financial supporters to run every year. "Through volunteering I have met a group of lovely, generous people whose commitment to giving back to society is inspiring, so I have set myself a goal to raise some money in support of their work.I am not new to extreme challenges, so for Wycombe Homeless Connection I really wanted to push myself to the limit! I write this message with a little apprehension as I am not completely confident that I can actually achieve this, but I promise to give it everything I've got! Here it comes…On 20th May this year, I will attempt to swim the length of Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England, with my trusty support crew (aka my boyfriend Mark, in his canoe)! The ETA for great swimmers to complete the 11 miles is about 9 hours - I’d be very happy to make it in 10!" You can sponsor Hayley's courageous efforts here. Are you up for a challenge?
