Hannah was severely unwell, both physically and mentally. It was all-consuming and debilitating. She found it hard to go about her day-to-day life and even small things, like trips to the supermarket, became too strenuous to do.

She had tried to claim ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) because work was out of the question while in her current health. But sadly, Hannah’s illness meant she failed to attend the medical assessments and her claim was suspended. When we heard this we requested a hearing at a tribunal.

As Hannah was not in a fit state to attend, we sent along a support worker as her authorised representative. Long story short, we won the case and Hannah received backdated ESA!
