Wayne had had a good career spanning hairdressing, building industry sales and holiday camp-site management all over Europe, but early one year a problem with his feet and legs stopped him working. He stayed for a while with a friend, but it couldn’t go on. At that point, he saw a sign for WHC and came in for help. WHC found a temporary place for Wayne at a hostel, then he moved into a shared house. WHC helped him with a housing application, and the following spring he moved into a flat near Wycombe. Said Wayne, “Without the help of Paul, Rachel and Alison and all the drop-in volunteers, I’m not sure where I’d be now. Many, many thanks to all at WHC.”
