Trustee: various specialities required We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and skilled people to join our board of trustees to help us tackle homelessness in our community. You will also guide the development of the charity as it looks to provide services across a wider geographical area. We need people with a wide range of professional skills in particular IT, HR, legal expertise, statutory sector experience, fundraising and marketing. Applicants should have a strong belief in, and attraction to, our cause. Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Time commitment: Minimum of three hours a month plus any other commitments the role-holder chooses to take on. Term of office: Terms are for three years with option to extend. Because of the nature and context of the role, there is an occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010* that the role-holder must be a Christian. The role Trustees take overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the charity and its ability to fulfil its mission to reduce homelessness, and the harms of homelessness. We are seeking trustees that have experience in the following areas: Legal expertise Human resources Information technology Fundraising and marketing Statutory sector experience If you have experience in any other area we would still like to hear from you. The role is not remunerated, but travel and reasonable expenses are covered. About the Organisation and Occupational Requirement Wycombe Homeless Connection serves people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. In partnership with other agencies, we provide help and support services throughout the year to help people who are homeless as well as to help people avoid homelessness, stay housed and to re-build their lives. The Christian faith is integral to our organisation and is at the heart of our conduct and motivation.
